ComNet and Talk-A-Phone announce the completion of interoperability testing
ComNet Communication Networks of Danbury, Connecticut, a leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, has been selected by the Talk-A-Phone Company to supply fiber optic media converters and EoVDSL modems (Ethernet over Very High Digital Subscriber Link) for use with their line of VOIP-500 Series of Voice-over-IP phones. Talk-a-phone turned to ComNet for their product quality, scope of products, ease of use, and level of customer support. Talk-A-Phone joins the growing list of manufacturers to partner with ComNet to take advantage of their industry-leading technology. Talk-A-Phone will now recommend the use of ComNet USA-manufactured EoVDSL and fiber optic media converter products to their customers for use with their IP-based products. "The outcome of the interoperability testing has been very positive," said Clarence Wong, Product Manager, Talk-A-Phone Co. "Leveraging solutions from both ComNet and Talk-A-Phone offers customers robust performance and reliability." said Clarence Wong, Talk-A-Phone Product Manager. "By selecting ComNet, Talk-A-Phone will now be able to provide their customers with an easily implemented and reliable solution to extend the transmission distances of its products through fiber optic, coaxial cable, and twisted copper media. As this Talk-A-Phone VOIP product utilizes Ethernet for local and wide area network transmission, methods to extend transmission distances through legacy and newly deployed transmission media become a necessity", stated Bruce M. Berman, ComNet Vice-President for New Business Development. Source: ComNet Europe |
