All-over-IP 2010: Axis Communications to Drive Sales in Russia
10.05.2010

All-over-IP 2010 Axis Communications to Drive Sales in Russia

Penetration of IP video surveillance is various around the world. According to IMS Research, the lowest rate of penetration is about 5-10% (UK, China), and the highest convergence rate is up to 50% (Middle East and the Nordics).

"Today, it’s around 20% of IP video penetration in Russia and 20-25% in USA, – says Bodil Sonesson Gallon, Vice-President – Sales of Axis Communications AB. – As you see, there is no big difference between these two countries in terms of convergence rates."

As IMS predicts, from a global stand point, there will be a 35% growth of network video within next 5 years. Most IP CCTV vendors is already showing positive dynamics in their sales whereas analogue vendors still release negative results.

In order to drive their sales in Russia, a number of global vendors focus their attention on assisting the security market in overcoming its natural conservative way of thinking and on educating security professional in IT skills.

"We are working closely with our channel partners doing our training programs. I’ve been impressed by how competent are the partners I met here in Russia. I think you have very good engineering skills and that is very important in order to get successful in network video," – says Bodil Sonesson Gallon.

"We need to work more closely with our partners, to create loyalty. This is the matter of loyalty, mutual trust, knowledge, competencies for network video. It is high activity on events and a very high activity on the marketing side that matters. So partner network is important and marketing, targeted at end-users, both from push and pull perspectives is equally important. Axis is a very technology driven company and it has a high marketing activity."

Axis Communications will introduce its latest technology, solutions and installations at the 3rd All-over-IP Forum that takes place on November 18, 2010 at Sokolniki Expo in Moscow, Russia. www.all-over-ip.ru/eng
